Sorry, have to write this comment in English because your blog have brainwashed me, lol.
I just have some questions!
1. How did Trevor (your promdate) ask you to prom? :)
2. In the header of your blog you're wearing a cheerleader outfit. Did you just borrow it from someone to take a picture? Why didn't you try out to be a cheerleader? Or I don't know, maybe you have to be in the cheerleader squad from the beginning or something...? How does that work?

Haha, you're funny! Well I'll just answer in English then. Normally I'll answer all the questions in Sweden, because they're asked in Swedish. But now when you ask in English, why not answer the same way lol.

Okey so 1. Trevor's already graduated so I had to ask him to go to prom with me. Well, people from school asked me but I said no. Kinda shitty, and a was in panic for a while about it cause I was left without a date, but it's ok because I had so much fun with Trevor. It's hard for me too because I'm so tall, and I deffinitly didn't want a shorter date than me. But the cutest way was when Levi asked me. He took me to the park and we ate there (brought subway lol, which happens to be my favorite), and then he asked me in Swedish "vill du ga pa balen med mig Linnea". I had such a hard time answering that, but after giving it sometime I said no.

2. I just borrowed the cheerleading outfit from a friend. I wanted to become one, but they pick their cheerleaders for next year in the end of every schoolyear (so they pick next years cheerleaders in the ens of this year). And since I wasn't here for that, I couldn't be one. And some school will give the exchangestudents an opertunity to be one anyway, but south ripley (my school) wouldn't. It's okey tho, I had fun anyway! I kind of wished I would have played either volleyball or basketball tho. Ppl on the basketball team is very good, so I'd feel stupid. But it'd deffinitly be fun to have tried it.

Bonfire tonight

I'm sorry, once again, for not giving you good updates everyday. Right now I have about an hour until Taiylor will be here to pick me up. We're going to a bonfire tonight with a couple of friends. Just hanging out! And other than that I'll hang out with Caleb and go to church this weekend. Yes, you heard me, I'll go to church. Since I recently realized that I only have another 6 weeks left, (or less now) it's time for me to go visit Cavehill where my experience first started. I had to go to church every Sunday in the begining of my adventure. Now I'm going because I want to see everyone again. It's also Candice last Sunday in that church before she moves. Candice is Tracy's daughter (and Tracy was the mom I first stayed with) for you that are new readers. I just saw her the other day and she's soo sweet.

Well, I'm gonna get out of here and get dressed! It'll probably be cold tonight!

Boring Blog

I know my blog is really boring now. But I'm just not inspired or wanting to update it all the time with pictures and stuff. I only have 6 weeks left in the States and there's a lot of things going on. For example, this weekend is my only free weekend before I leave. Because next one, me and my family (host family) will go to Gathlinburg. The weekend/week after that I'll be in Orlando with my mom and my Aunt. The weekend after that we get out of school. Then we're up for graduation and my Dad will come over.... So there's really nothing left.

It makes me feel very sad, but also so excited. Like I can't explain it. I don't even know what to feel... (that sounded so gay), but that's how I see it. People keep asking me "oh are you excited". Well, HELL YEA I AM! But then again...no I don't wanna leave my life and all my friends here.

I also have to finish my scrapbook, I have to write a recipie book (with American recipies that I've liked a lot). I need to buy some stuff that I wanna take home, and figure out a plan to get it home. Cause I swear, I have like 6 suitcases at least!!!!!!! Good thing my parents will be over in shifts lol

Jobshaddowed

Yesterday I jobshaddowed a surgeon. It was very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. I had a bunch of questions and learned a lot of things. I also got to see some pretty nasty things and even though I thought some of the stuff was descusting, I now know that I'm able to watch it without fainting or puking. I actually though I might do that. I still think shots are kinda gross to look at, but I think I'm able to watch when they give me one now. I normally don't, and for some reason, I rather watch when they burn skin and put it back together with staples, than to watch them stick a nedle in your skin. Weird!

The hospital was something that was kind of out of my mind before yesterday, but now I'm considering it again. I don't know what I wanna be. Either something with business, economics, doctor, designing or tecnology (Apple) or promotion/marketing.

Another thing, I need to learn some more words now. And some more English. I talked to my English teacher this morning and I asked her to give me more assignments so I can improve my English. Hopefully she has some good ones to give me!

Here are some pictures of me and Trevor before prom. I was so stressed because he was at my house before I even had my dress on. My hair took probably close to 2 hours, and then my makeup took 15 minutes because we had to hurry. It turned out good though.

Jag gjorde inget delstatsval på grund av matallergi. Lång historia, men jag antar att det blir svårare att garantera att man kommer i en av delstaterna, eftersom värdfamiljerna i staten kanske använder mycket av vad jag är allergisk mot i sina maträtter (nötter i mitt fall).

Jag åkte med EF och måste säga att jag är nöjd. Jag har dock inte haft några direkta möten med min cordinator, och heller inte haft någon på säkert en månad. Det var dock längesen, nu har jag en som faktiskt senast igår hörde av sig. Sån tur är har jag det väldigt bra och känner ingen nöd att ha någon.

I'm almost home...

No, not really. But it's less than 2 months left til I'll get home. I feel like it's both positive and negative. I can't say enough times how much I want to go home and see everyone. At the same time, my life here is so "easy" when it comes to school and everyday life. I have no "I have to do this" and I don't have to think about working or anything. The only thing I like to make sure I keep doing is working out. Which is not a hard thing really, and it's not neccessary everyday you know.

We just had some guesspeakers in the auditeria about drugs. It's so accepted here and I must say it was so interesting to hear about it all. People that have been into drugs talked to, and they're in rehab now. Sad, how desisions and choices at a young age easily can change your life.

Well, the point of this little post was actually to tell my family what they have to cook me when I get home.

Mom, I want chicken (curry) and rice. I want spagetti with curry pasta, I want grilled food, steaks and corn on a cob. I want fish, salmond, and potatoes and peas (and lemon sause). I want everything with rice and potatoes pretty much. Also lasanga, mmm... And you have to have knackebrod, pears, avocado, all bran flakes (cereals), the vanilla yoghurt I always had, turkey with red peppars in it, that lemon flavored stuff I put on Turkish yoghurt, yea that's all I can think of right now.

Dad, it wouldn't hurt if you made "home-made" ribbs again. That was pretty awesome!!

Grandma: Dads side, I want cooked carrots and one of the pieces of meat with onions or bacon I think it is. And watermelon. Moms side, potatoes with homemade meatballs, and a sallad. Dessert, rabarberpaj utan tvekan!!! And the cookies with green/pink stuff around them...

That's what I can think of right now. Sounds ok?

Update: Kassler with rice. Riswook... natt jacob, flygande jacob? Osv osv.... hahah. Jag kollade pa bilder igar och under sommaren nar vi grillar ar det ofta bilder pa mat. Blev saaa sugen pa en harlig, svensk, sommardag. Vaniljglass och jordgubbar till efterratt ocksa. Och havrekakor eller digistive, eller dom kakorna man satter gaffeln i innan man bakar dom. Tror det ar havrekakor. Herregud.....saknar svensk MAT!!!!!!! And anything with spinnish (spinat, vet inte hur det stavas). Pasa sallad, den med skinka i som vi gjorde ibland... langesen dock. Vet du vilken jag menar mamma? Saaa god!!! Falaffel ocksa.. Gud detta blir ju sa mycket.. haha

Uninspired (+ learn about prom)

I have to say that I'm so not inspired to keep my blog going. I just feel that I have nothing to write about, nothing interesting u know. Even though a lot of things happens, I feel like I write the same stuff every day. You already know my plans for tomorrow and that prom is up.

I just had cooked cabage for supper, one of my favorites. It's cooked cabage and sausage with potatoes. And today I asked Robin to give me the potatoes before she made mashed potatoes. Mmmm, I've missed eating boiled potatoes like that.

I guess I can tell you something about prom too. So, our school rented a place in Aurora where the party's gonna be. Before that is the walk through, where you and your date walk on the state, take a picture and walk down again. After this, you and your date (or friends) go out and eat. After eating, everyone meet at this one place in Aurora/Lawrensburg for dancing and hanging out.

Tomorrow

Sorry for bad updateing but I've been busy. Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to Sally's to get the last things I need for prom. I just ordered my shoes last Friday and they'll be here Thursday. I have my dress and my makeup, so now I only need some jewellry, a flower and some hair lol. I think I know what I want my hair to look like, but the picture is at home. So I'll have to show it to you later.

We actually have a few things going on at school so I'm working in a few of my periods now lol. I have a project in art that is kind of stressful, and then one in Digital Design. Well, I guess that makes it 2 classes. How will I make it in Swedish school again?

"Everybody dance now"

Follies last Friday. It's kind of like a talent show. I was in 3 perfomances/numbers. Senior song, the opening with glowsticks and a choir dance. It was actually a lot of fun and I can't wait to get the recorded version (didn't bring my videocamera because I talked to Mrs. Striple and she'll give hers to me). Then I'll put some on youtube and show you guys!!

Prom Saturday

Yesterday I was in Batesville all day to watch Jess getting ready for prom at her boyfriends school. They looked soooo goood!!!! So now I can't wait for next weekend to come (when our prom is).

Signed with Georgetown

This week Jess signed with Georgetown collage. She was offered a full ride, which means she get her way payed. This is very special and only offered to high achieved students. Georgetowns coaches/teachers came to South Ripley for her to sign the papers. I'm so proud of Jess!!!

Graduation invitations

A lot going on

Prom is up soon. Or in 2 weeks (April 21). I don't have my shoes, jewellry, tann or anything like that. Stuff for my hair.. And today when I went shopping I didn't find any of it. SUCKS!

Friday is follies (like a talent show), where I'm in like 3 numbers (for journalism and choir) so I need to go to practices and stuff and that's why my blog is kind of boring again. Sorry for that! I feel like it's gonna be kind of boring for a while though, because a lot of stuff is going home and I have less than 2 months left..and I wanna enjoy it all!

I'm also trying to make my graduation invitations. Here's on of the pictures that's gonna be on it.

Easter

Awesome nails

These nails are soo cool. But how should I have my nails done for prom? Pink or purple, or like sparkly? I'm thinking maybe sparkle tips in purple and pink. That'd look amazing. But I'll probably not get fakenails again, even though I want to. But they distroyed my nails completely.

About easter

I know I've been bad this weekend. I'm sorry! But sometimes I just don't feel like update you guys about everything. Especially not when I just realized that I'll be home in less than 2 months. It's so sad!! I don't wanna leave. I really like all my friends here. I don't wanna go back and studdy my ass off. I DON'T want to! It's soo easy here, I can live my life, don't have to think about school and just hang out.

A lot of you have asked about how easter is celebrated here. I can go ahead and tell you about that. Just short, because I don't really know. But Jesus died Friday, and that's the day we don't have school. That's the only day we get off. Other than that, Sunday is celebrated because that's when he resurrected. And that's tomorrow. And tomorrow, me, Robin and Bud (Jess's working) will go to Mardy's and eat a big meal. So I'll probably bring my camera and take some pictures (even though that's kinda awkward) to show you what it looks like. And I might have Jess write something about easter too, idk (=I don't know). It seems to be the same type of celebration that we have.

Promdress & make-up

I just tried my promdress on again, because I went to the mall today and had them do my makeup. So now I know what my make-up is gonna look like. Now I just need to figure out how I wanna wear my hair. I need to get shoes and jewellry too tho. Prom's only 2 weekends away!!

My first baseball game

Went to my first baseball game tonight. The ball almost hit me in the head. That's a great experience, isn't it? Well, haha, it was fun! I just kinda asked 500 questions to understand how all the rules go. Now I have to pack a lot of clothes because tomorrow a girl names Lacy will photograph me. I've never met her before, but she graduated from my school 3 years ago and knows my friends. And she said she has seen me around and would love to make a photoshoot with me. I'm in, of course! I love it!
